Collaborations, Custom Designs & Comissions
Let's create something amazing
Looking to explore a collaboration, a customised and personal design, or a commission for a larger body of work or commercial project? You’re in the right spot, friend! Let’s find the right option for you…
Collaboration
Please note: Instagram collaborations are on pause until further notice
Whether in-person, on Instagram or via my monthly newsletter, a collaboration brings a powerful element to your brand’s activities.
Some popular collaborations to explore can include:
- a simple giveaway
- a one-off or series of product collaborations, and reviews or promotion
- attendance at your in-person event, encompassing a modern hand lettering opportunity to leverage your marketing activities
- sponsorship of an Inbox Sunshine newsletter edition (includes your image banner at bottom of e-newsletter, linkable to your site)
- and, so many more opportunities to dream up and consider!
A RIGHT FIT
Serving the people who subscribe or follow my account(s) is the primary consideration for any collaboration. To ensure alignment with my existing content and values, and to deliver intentional and impactful material to followers and subscribers, collaborations will only be considered for the following:
- products, services or brands I currently use
- products, services or brands I have experienced myself in the past
If a product, service or brand does not fit into the above criteria, a potential collaboration must first involve the supply or trial of your product / service with no obligations for promotion. If it is something I would happily use myself in future or on an ongoing basis, a collaboration agreement and terms can then be discussed.

custom designs
Please note: custom designs are on pause until further notice.
Throughout the year, I make space for a very limited number of custom design jobs. These are advertised via my mailing list, Instagram and this website.
From family manifestos and original artworks, to small business and non-profit artwork, you’ll be able to have a special and significant piece of art that stirs your faith.
Commissions
Please note: commissions are currently booked out at this time
Have an idea that you’d love me to create into something, or a significant commercially-based project you’d love to work together on? I’d love to hear all about it!
With a commissioned work, I will dream up and create something from the ground up, drawing from the information you supply in a creative brief (see the Quick Guide below for further details).
A commissioned piece is often less-exact in the early stages of the process, because I am creating something completely new and unique for you. While we don’t have an exact picture of how the end-piece will look like before we commence, I take all your inspiration, requests, feedback and make something beautiful with it. An agreement to open and ongoing communication between both parties during the process and my personal commitment to make something you will LOVE, will ensure we land on a fabulous end-result!
Commissioned work especially suits those who love previous examples of my work or my overall style, and want to make something new and wonderful together.
A quick guide to the
Commissions Process
After you’ve reached out to let me know you’d love to work together (yay!), I’ll be in touch and keen to hear all the juicy details of your idea, your project goals, plus any timelines you had in mind.
You can also let me know of any designs or examples (mine, or inspiration from elsewhere) that have caught your eye or inspired you, how you’d like the finished product to be presented (e.g. digital or physical) and how/where you intend to use the finished product.
It’s at this point I will share more about my design process and can give you the investment cost for your commissioned piece. If both our timelines align for the project and you feel I’m the right Creative for you and your idea, we will then move on to the nitty-gritty details via a Design Brief.
Now that we’ve locked the project into both of our calendars, I’ll send you a Design Brief. It’s an exciting and important part of the process, as the guided questionnaire allows you to pour out all the things that you hope to see and achieve, and for me to get further details of your overall project and an understanding of your idea—the nitty-gritty details, so to speak.
I want to ensure the result is something you are happy with and exceeds your expectations, and this Design Brief will support that endeavour.
You have full permission to squeal at this point.
This is where your idea takes on a tangible nature as the creative development begins.
Colours, shapes, design and context all come together to produce something beautiful that you can treasure for many years ahead.
In this phase of the process, you’ll get a design concept proof to review. Here you can provide comments and requests for any refinements you’d like. I’ll then take that feedback and make amendments to your commissioned piece. This gets returned to you for a final review before I finalise the piece so it’s ready to make its way to you.
Bring on the confetti! No longer is that idea you’ve had just a someday thought. Your idea is now a creative, tangible product and something you get to have in your hands!
And it’s now ready for its big debut in the world.
This is your legacy that will be going out into the world–the moment you had dreamed about and have waited for. It’s not just for now; it has length and breadth and will have an impact.
Your piece will be sent to you in the format agreed upon during the nitty-gritty stage (e.g. digital or physical print) and is now part of your beautiful story and contribution to the world.
Absolutely adore what you’ve created...I’ll definitely keep you in mind for any other creative projects. It’s been such a joy to work with you. ☆ Alex, Saint Belford
