No risk of failure Scripture Board

DON’T LET PROCRASTINATION HOLD YOU BACK

It’s inevitable, really. At some point or another, you (just like me) have felt a block or procrastination towards taking the next step in something. And when I recently read the words of Psalm 62 in The Passion Translation, it was like they leapt off the page.

There’s no need to let procrastination hold you back, as Psalm 62:6 reveals to us.

Friend, there is so much to unpack in this single verse. So let’s dive straight into it!

No risk of failure…

If you’re anything like me, the risk of failing at something has you either procrastinating, doubting, second-guessing and/or just plain avoiding doing what needs to be done to make progress on that goal, or dream, or task in front of you.

But, God…

This is the unmistakable winning factor! There’s just no risk of failing when our dreams and plans are aligned to His. And even when we’re not sure exactly what they are, He directs each step when we’ve surrendered every step to Him. Even if you’re 90 degrees off-course, He will always get you to where He has designated and designed for you when you follow Him in trust and obedience.

This is the unmistakable winning factor! There’s just no risk of failing when our dreams and plans are aligned to His.

Even when troubles multiply…His glory is ALL around me.

This blows my little mind away. He encircles, covers and seals you with His glory and grace. So whatever risk, fear or trouble that would be considered quite prominent in our present moment, they’re NO MATCH against the King of Victory.

He has already won!

Can we just repeat that? Because it can be easy to read and move on from. But I think, especially in light of this topic, it’s a good thing to let it saturate and sink deep into our spirit.

He has already won!

We can spiritually and literally step into this victory with trust, belief and faith because Jesus has already won it and has handed it to us.

Hello you, victorious one who comes in the Name of the Lord!

We can step into his victory with trust, belief and faith, because jesus has already won it and handed it to us.

Honestly, it’s so simple and plain to see; yet we often need this reminder! And I’m so glad He is patient with us, reminding us through His Holy Spirit and the Scriptures of the inheritance and victory we already have gained in Jesus Christ.

So that’s what I am doing this month: stepping into His victory and taking the “risks” on what He is calling me forward into, even if or when it feels like a huge impossible-looking, faith-stretching and sometimes outlandishly uncomfortable task. And I’m declaring out loud, “His glory is all around me!”

I hope this encourages you to step into all He has declared for you this month, too.

“his glory is all around me”.

Hey, friend! I'm a Jesus-lover first and foremost, and consider it a great privilege to encourage you in the journey of faith. I love all things creative, growing and drawing flowers, and heading on weekend adventures with my little family.
